Can I tell LalaScript which notes my student knows?

Yes. Say the lowest and highest note in words, like low E up to high A. The piece is written inside them. When you then ask for an easier key or a lower version, it stays inside that range and tells you the new lowest and highest note, or tells you why it will not move and what would.

Which instruments does it write for?

LalaScript writes for piano or one instrument at a time, in that instrument's clef and range, and plays it back in that instrument's sound. A duet as two parts, a band or a choir is not there yet.

Can I make the piece easier after it is written?

Yes. Say what is wrong in your own words: an easier key, lower, slower, one hand only. Each answer from LalaScript is a new version, and the earlier ones stay in the history. To make a piece you already have easier, use simplify sheet music.

Does LalaScript replace the teacher?

No. LalaScript makes the material: a piece at the right level, or the example a lesson did not have time for. It does not grade, and it does not decide what a student should play next. That stays with the teacher.
