MakeMusic stopped developing and selling Finale in 2024. If what you have left of a score is the PDF you printed from it, LalaScript reads that PDF back into real notation and gives you MusicXML that opens in Dorico, MuseScore or Sibelius.

Real, editable notation, not an image. Cleanest results come from PDFs exported by notation software, one page of music per PDF page, upright. Scanned or photographed pages are less reliable.
PDFs printed from Finale are clean, digital pages, the best input there is. Scans work too, less reliably.
Optical music recognition reads the page, then the engine checks keys, voices and rhythms so every bar adds up.
Download MusicXML for Dorico, Sibelius or MuseScore, or a native MuseScore (.mscz) file. A fresh PDF and an MP3 are there too.
The engine checks every bar before export, so the score you open has no broken measures to hunt down.
Transpose it, make a part easier, fix a wrong note: type it in plain English before you download.
MusicXML opens in Dorico, Sibelius and MuseScore; MuseScore users can take the native .mscz.
Yes. MakeMusic announced in August 2024 that it had stopped developing Finale and would no longer sell it. The scores you made in it need a new home.
For files you still have as .musx, export MusicXML from Finale itself: that is exact. LalaScript is for the scores where only the PDF is left, or the PDF is all someone sent you.
No. LalaScript reads PDF, MusicXML (.xml, .mxl) and MuseScore (.mscz) files. Upload the PDF of the score, or a MusicXML export if you have one.
Any program that reads MusicXML: Dorico, Sibelius and MuseScore all do. If you moved to MuseScore, download the native .mscz instead.
LalaScript is free to start with no card needed, so you can convert your first PDFs without paying.
The studio is free to start. Bring a PDF you made in Finale and open it where you work now.
